This kit is similar to the ones available elsewhere online that I have used before, but with the instructions presented slightly more clearly and the convenience of ordering from the same site as my supplements.
I always find producing the blood spots difficult, so I deduct a star only because you are instructed to produce five spots, whereas I thought three or four is more usual and difficult enough.
Thankfully there were plenty of lancets to have several attempts, but obviously I would have liked to succeed first time. I have now learnt by experience that for me it is pointless to try and extract blood from my left hand - possibly due to years of playing string instruments in the past having thickened the skin. Sticking rock music on the stereo and getting really pumped up also helps.
The results arrived quicker than with other services I have used - within the week. I had hoped the result would prove that I didn't need to take a high dose, as my levels were boosted on prescription a seven years ago and I have been taking 1000 or 2000iu on and off ever since, but sadly this was not the case and my levels have gone back down.

To be honest, I didn’t think we would get a result after taking the test. I bought it as a present for my mum and we made sure we followed all the instructions to the T. The kit came with 3 lancets (in case 1 was not enough). Even 3 weren’t enough! The lancet’s point is so fine that the hole made isn’t enough to make the blood come out. My mum is on a daily dose of Aspirin and even that didn’t help. We weren’t getting anywhere and in the end, we had to use a pin to take the test. Even then, it was really difficult to make sure that all 6 sections on the blood collection sample were filled with blood. You can’t just touch the card, the drop of blood has to easily drop off your finger on the particular area. I even think that 3 stars is way too generous.
After receiving the result, I also don’t know what to do next and how to improve the level of Vit D as it’s been regularly taken for years but the test showed low levels of it.

Easy to do and the results came really quickly afterwards. Drawing the blood can be a bit tricky but other than that I am pleased with the kit and service. Very informative

I followed all the directions but found the test really difficult to do. I just couldn’t get enough blood, even though I used all the lancets. Wouldn’t use again. Will need to go to GP to do a proper test.
