I’ve always had a passion for beauty products, even before I started modelling. I was obsessed with the beauty pages of magazines. Through my time in the industry and battling with my own skin problems, I became much more aware of exactly what was in the products I use. Here’s my edited list of tried and trusted staples that I love…
1. Pai Buriti Balm
I am obsessed with this product right now. Having eczema, it’s a struggle to find a product that is actually beneficial and a pleasure to use. This is one of those products. I use it on my lips, eyelids or wherever I have really dry skin. Smells delicious too.
2. RMS Un-Cover Up Concealer
This is seriously one of my favourite ever products. I love it because it looks so natural and you can’t tell you’re wearing it. Yet it provides good coverage (especially on redness). Since it contains coconut oil, it actually has a slightly antibacterial action on blemishes. In fact, the whole RMS range is incredible.
3. Pai Camellia & Rose Cleanser
I love this cream cleanser for removing make-up. I use it in the evening with a muslin cloth. I much prefer using cream cleansers or just a little coconut oil as opposed to a foaming cleanser. It’s very calming and helps to even out redness.
4. Organic Rosehip Oil
Great for getting skin glowing overnight. If I add a few drops to my moisturizer in the evening, it noticeably evens skin tone by the next day. I also add it to a bath. Rosehip oil is revered for its healing properties. It’s naturally rich in vitamin E, which has been shown to help heal scar tissue.
5. Heritage Products Rosewater
I love to spritz rosewater after I’ve cleansed my face, before I moisturize, or just whenever I feel I need to refresh. I find it’s great for all skin types, but it especially helps to calm sensitive skin.Frances Phillips is a model and nutritional therapist.
