Nut butters are delicious and contain buckets of minerals, vitamins, plant-based protein and healthy fats. Shop bought versions can hide a multitude of sins under inflated price tags so homemade would always be my go-to. By adding a generous dose of Pure Marine Collagen you'll optimise your skin health, hair, nails, joint structures and general connective tissues. Not bad for a toast topping hey!?
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of raw coconut chips
- 1 cup of raw cashews
- ½ cup of hazelnuts or almonds
- ½ cup of walnuts
- 2 tablespoons of Bare Biology's Skinful Marine Collagen Powder
- Optional additions - cinnamon, cacao, vanilla, chai spices
Method:
1. Blend the coconut chips in a food processor until they become a rough paste.
2. Add the rest of your nuts and blend until smooth. Leave the processor to do the hard work and scrape down the sides intermittently.
3. Once smooth, add the collagen powder and anything else you fancy.
4. Decant into jars and use within a month.
